Values

A Value is one piece of data, such as a number, a piece of text, or true.

1 + 2 * 3 // {7}
10 / 4 // {2.5}

Numbers support +, -, *, and /. modulo and rem give the remainder of a division; they differ for negative numbers:

-7 modulo 3 // {2}
-7 rem 3 // {-1}

A string is text in double quotes. \{...} puts a Value into the text:

"2 + 2 is \{2 + 2}" // {"2 + 2 is 4"}

A Boolean is true or false. Comparisons such as >, ==, and != give Booleans, and and and or combine them:

3 == 3 and 2 > 5 // {false}

not(...) turns true into false and false into true:

not(3 > 2) // {false}

then … else chooses between two results:

10 > 5 then "big" else "small" // {"big"}

Values of different kinds do not mix:

1 + "a" // error SK4301

The REPL reports an error with a code and a message. Error codes explains each code.
